Frequently asked questions
Does this show my take-home pay?
No โ it converts between pay periods and models hikes on gross figures. For what actually reaches your bank account after PF and income tax, use the In-Hand Salary Calculator.
Why can I change weeks per year?
So contractors and hourly workers can account for unpaid time off. At 52 weeks you are assuming you are paid every week of the year; 48 weeks models a month without work.
What is a normal hike when switching jobs?
It varies by market, role and how long you have been in your current job. The calculator deliberately does not suggest a number โ it shows you what any percentage is worth in rupees a month, which is the figure worth negotiating over.
