Frequently asked questions
How are working days counted?
Every day from the start to the end inclusive, minus non-working days and minus holidays that fall on a working day. Both ends are counted, which is the convention notice periods and project plans use.
What if a holiday falls on a weekend?
It is not deducted — it was never a working day, so removing it again would undercount. The tool reports weekend days and working-day holidays separately so you can see this.
Can I set a six-day week?
Yes. Toggle Saturday on, or any other combination. The Monday-to-Friday default suits offices but not retail, manufacturing or much of the services sector.
How do I find the date N working days from now?
The last field does this — enter a number and it skips weekends and holidays to give the date, along with the weekday it lands on. Useful for delivery estimates and notice calculations.
